Every dog experiences the world in different ways. Dottie PAWS was created for dogs who don't fit neatly into traditional dog walking models or owners who are looking for a more tailored, individual approach.

We offer one to one walks and enrichment visits for dogs in the Ilkley LS29 area, including nervous, reactive, senior, young, post operative - or simply 'unique' dogs.

Why Dottie PAWS?

Dottie PAWS is inspired by Dottie, our clever, sensitive poodle cross. Living with her changed the way we had to think about walks, behaviour and care.

Not every dog enjoys group walks or busy, high energy environments. Some dogs:

feel overwhelmed around other dogs
need quieter routes
prefer a predictable routine
enjoy slower, sniffy walks
thrive on gentle mental stimulation rather than high-energy outings

Dottie PAWS exists for dogs who thrive with individual attention.

ONE DOG AT A TIME

All walks and visits are strictly one-to-one or same household. Your dog is never walked in a group or rushed to fit around others. Our walks are tailored individually to your dogs confidence level, movement needs and enjoyment.

CALM, THOUGHTFUL ROUTES

We can offer quieter paths or predictable walks and environments that help sensitive dogs relax and decompress.

ENRICHMENT LED CARE

Home visits can include enrichment and scent based activities, as well as companionship - more than just a quick toilet break.

About the human

Hello - I'm Vicki

I’m the human behind Dottie PAWS and live in Ilkley with my four-legged friends and family.

My focus is always on ensuring our walks and activities suit the individual. Living with a reactive and sensitive dog has helped shape my understanding.

I am fully insured, DBS checked and have enhanced my knowledge and training through the British College of Canine Studies.
